Job Description

We are looking for a team lead for our Quality team to improve all aspects of quality assurance including applying industry best practices, developing new testing solutions and methods, and establishing metrics. This is a long-term full-time (40 hrs/wk) role.


What You’ll Do:
  • Management and coordination of all testing activities including definition of testing approach, test effort estimation, progress and status reporting, training, and education.
  • Along with engineering teams, developing and managing test strategies that will include approaches for test data, regression testing, and automation methodologies to ensure higher quality delivery and test coverage.
  • Providing testing of changes in web, mobile, and desktop apps, API, security, and performance.
  • Reviewing all QA test plans to ensure major milestones, dependencies, and critical paths are defined.
  • Effectively collaborating with team members and project stakeholders.
  • Acting as the escalation point for all testing-related issues.
  • Providing continuous review and recommendations for improvement of QA processes.
  • Promoting QA standards and best practices across engineering teams.

Requirements

What You Should Have:

  • 7+ years of quality assurance and test engineering experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership position.
  • Experience with implementing and standardizing issue tracking and management solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities and recognize when a priority change is needed.
  • Experience testing web and client server-based applications.
  • Knowledge of database concepts and testing using SQL.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

So while 2020 had us virtually meeting because of the pandemic, we met in Portugal (in 2019) and Mexico (in 2018), and we had our first in-person retreat after Covid-19 in the Dominican Republic (Feb 2022).
  • Annual Salary: This depends on your country's location/currency/taxes. But you should expect a yearly gross salary between USD 60,000.00 and USD 75,000.00.
