Senior QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript)

Our client is a leading wholesale provider of reinsurance, insurance, and other insurance-based forms of risk transfer. Dealing direct and working through brokers, its global client base consists of insurance companies, mid-to-large-sized corporations, and public sector clients. From standard products to tailor-made coverage across all lines of business.

The project is about determining the damage resulting from natural disasters in an automated and timely way. It is running in the Azure Cloud and involves large scale geoprocessing and remote sensing processes

Responsibilities:

• requirements analysis
• design and automate functional API, e2e UI tests, performance testing
• bug report creation, participation in finding failure root causes with developers
• creation of pipelines for testing
• a test runs analysis
• preparation of test reports
• participation in all Scrum activities

Requirements

• 3+ years' industry experience in QA or Software Engineering
• Experience using JavaScript
• Experience using Playwright/Puppeteer is a plus
• Experience in API tests automation
• Experience in automated tests design, implementation and execution
• Ability to plan working activities and achieve project goals
• Comfortable engaging cross-functional partners including development teams, system architects, product management, and support
• Strong sense of ownership, passionate, fast learner, detail-oriented, analytical mindset
• Familiarity with version control, bug tracking, and CI / CD systems and procedures
• English - Intermediate +, ability to communicate effectively with Native Speakers
• Experience developing or testing cloud-based microservices Azure, AWS or similar platforms is a plus
• Understanding and use of APIs in large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with RESTful web services and the JSON data format a plus
