Team Overview:
As part of the product amp; development team, you are part of the robust engine that supports Payability’s promise to our customers for friction-free financing! The product amp; development team includes product management team, project management team, QA testers, as well as a dedicated, collaborative engineering force. PMs and engineers partner together on various projects ranging from data science, machine learning, internal tools, customer-facing products, to name a few. We support the end-to-end SDLC lifecycle for our projects as well as post-production support.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will be an independent engineer with strong communication, analysis, and automation skills. Willingly to setup and improve QA as a process. Being passionate in the fintech industry and having the ability to take project ownership to ensure a successful delivery is more than welcome in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide quality assurance support during test planning, design, implementation and execution phases in dedicated business area
- Providing support for development teams in terms of testing activities
- Providing a framework for test automation
- Collaborate with development and management teams during defects root cause analysis and defect management discussions
- Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipeline
- Support in the development of the test plan
- Test environment preparation
Requirements
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in a test engineer role
- Scripting language knowledge and experience (e.g. Python, Bash)
- Knowledge of test automation concepts and best practices
- Experience in testing APIs and frontend and backend
- Designing and running smoke tests
- Experience in automating frontend and backend tests
- Continuous Integration familiarity (e.g. AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, Travis)
- Good communication skills in English
- Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AWS cloud
- ISTQB certificate
- System Control Version experience (e.g. GIT, SVN)
- Experience in fintech, banking or digital advertising industries
